Apply to the Program

Applicants must be third or fourth year students in a recognized APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Applicants admitted to the program are subject to certain eligibility requirements (e.g., criminal background checks). In order to be considered for admission to this program in September, you must submit your completed application via the APPIC Online Portal no later than November 1st of the prior year. Please note that there are two emphases to which you may apply: One for the generalist position with an open emphasis and one for the generalist position with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Please select the proper number in your application and be clear in your application for which of the two emphases you are applying.

By mid-December the pool of regular applicants will be narrowed to approximately 50. We will be inviting those people who are in the selection pool to come to Indianapolis for an orientation to our program and for interviews via e-mail. When an applicant is invited for an interview, we will ask for you to send or bring with you a photograph of yourself. Another option is that we will take your picture when you arrive for the interviews. Please note that the photograph is only used for identification and is not in any way a part of our decision-making or evaluation of the applicant.

The Application Portal is available at the APPIC website: http://www.appic.org/ for students to access.
