Larue D. Carter Memorial Hospital is an intensive specialized treatment, training, and research center for the State of Indiana Division of Mental Health system. It is a 159-bed hospital providing inpatient services for adults, adolescents, and children. Service units are divided into Adult General Psychiatry, Clinical Neuroscience Research, Transition Services, and Youth Services. Larue Carter also houses one of the country's only long-term inpatient units dedicated to treating Borderline Personality Disorders.
