| Personal Statement | My personal, clinical, and research interests are devoted to evidenced based practice of psychotherapies for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depressive and complex personality disorders. My goal is to have patients tell me their therapy experience has made a difference and helped them to discover a life worth living. I am also dedicated to educating new and seasoned mental health professionals about the importance of self care and the risks of compassion fatigue as a measure to preserve the future of the field of psychology. | |

| Current Academic Interests | Teaching: Involved in education, training/clinical supervision of doctoral level psychology interns, pre-doctoral psychology practicum students and various mental health professionals. Clinical: Provides full range of psychological services to veteran patients at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center including evidence-based treatment in individual, group and family modalities, psychological assessment and consultations and implementation and design of treatment programs. Research: Primary research focus is investigating compassion fatigue and resiliency factors among trauma providers. |
